BTM PROJECTS: HERITAGE PARK

Heritage Park

Big Town Mechanical is proud to install the HVAC Mechanical System for the Heritage Aquatic and Senior Centers.

The City of Henderson broke ground on its new 29,800-square-foot senior facility and 43,800-square-foot aquatic facility on July 29, 2008. The facilities, located on Racetrack Road just off Burkholder Boulevard, are scheduled to open in summer 2009.

The aquatic and senior facilities will be the first public amenities built in Heritage Park’s 160-acre, multi-use “campus” style project.

The development of the entire site will have a multi-phased development plan over the next several years. Along with the aquatic and senior facilities, the amenities of Heritage Park will include tennis and bocce ball courts, public restrooms, a dog park and botanical garden. With miles of trails available for walking, there will also be outdoor classrooms, baseball fields, multi-use fields, volleyball courts and a festival plaza that includes seating and a splash pad for children.

About the Aquatic Facility

The design for the $14.5 million Heritage Park aquatic facility, which will replace the Lorin L. Williams Pool, consists of two indoor pools. The indoor lap/competitive pool will include fourteen 25-yard lanes and water depth ranging from 3.5 feet to 13 feet. It is designed to meet U.S. swimming and NIAA standards as well as diving, synchronized swimming and water polo standards. It is suitable for competitive use at all levels.

The indoor therapy/instructional pool will consist of four 25-yard lanes and ranges in depth from 3 feet to 4 feet. The pool will be equipped with two stair entries, a seating/teaching shelf and ramp entry as well as a warmer temperature to accommodate therapeutic and instructional needs.

Additional amenities include two sets of locker rooms, family dressing rooms, one classroom, spectator seating for 600 and a senior entry adjacent to the new senior facility.

The aquatics facility will be open to users of all ages.
